Throwback Thursday.....the forever classic, Lilly Pulitzer!

Say what you want, Lilly Pulitzer is the epitome of chic, colorful, American resort wear. The brand just celebrated their 60 year anniversary - how cool is that?
Lilly herself created a brand that has been worn by the fanciest ladies in Palm Beach and it really all happened by accident. She was trying to create a printed dress that would hide stains from her “fresh juice” business (how fitting for 2021). The colorful shift dress was born - right then!
I had the pleasure of working for Lilly Pulitzer back in the early 2000’s when the brand was making its comeback. I feel so lucky to have been a small part of that :)
Anyhoo, some say it’s too preppy for them. You know what? I beg to differ :0 It’s all in how you WEAR your Lilly, right? I mean, the top I bought looks dang cute with my Levi’s cut off shorts OR the classic white jeans. The cocktail dress is VERY different from the usual, but I added a CLASSIC old-school stretchy gold belt with shell buckles. Remember those? LOVE.
Anyhoo, I believe that there’s room for a little Lilly Pulitzer in every wardrobe.
Trust the Mother….you’ll be glad you did!

Ok, this DRESS reminds me of Ramy Brook with the elastic waist. I added the DARLING gold stretchy Shell Belt and the Wrap Tie Sandals. LOVE.

I was LOVING this DRESS. It was SUPER flattering and great colors.
My ladies (Libby always on the left, above too! ). Libby’s pink cardigan is SO Chanel and she wore it with jeans shorts - SOOO cute on her. Paige’s midi dress looked amazing with the wrap sandals. LOVE both!
Last but not least….this blouse. I absolutely LOVE it.
